Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a busy one, but filled with some great memories that I will cherish forever. Although the events may seem small I love going through life with some of the most amazing people!

Friday | I had a sleep over with one of my besties and my cousin Friday night to kick of the fun weekend. The girls got to my house later around 9pm, so I had time to do a few errands, prep for my moms surprise party and get in my final BBG workout for the week in. I have been sore all week from these workouts even though I have been doing them for a month. I am restarting them next week because Bobby wants to do them with me! Every other day I have been doing 30 minutes of cardio. I am feeling so good about myself lately and I think a lot of that has to do with me being consistent with my working out and eating better.

Saturday | I made the girls, myself and bobby breakfast – yummy omelets with bacon, cheese, and tomato! Then we headed to the bridal store to search for the bridesmaids dresses. It was so much fun! I am letting the ladies pick their own style so it was nice to see how each girl picked a different dress, I love my ladies so much but they really are such a diverse group of girls and I’m so glad no one picked the same dress. Then it was time to prepare for my Mom’s surprise party.

Nichole and I then had a lot of stuff to get done before the party, thank god I had her helping me. From dress shopping we went to get the cake, and started to set up the room. We left plenty of time for us to just hang so we brought stuff to keep us occupied. My mom was really so surprised and it was a great night spent with some of the family and a few friends!

Sunday | Ahh a nice relaxing day. I slept in and then went to my first weight waters class with my friend Danielle. We went to visit Bobby’s grandma and grocery shopping. We spent the rest of the day lounging at home. It was such a crappy rainy day that Lola & Bobby slept all afternoon while I watched the movie Gifted and snuggled up with my most recent read What She Saw by Gerard Sternbridge.

Hope this week treats you well!

Weekend Recap – Celebrating Dad’s 50th!

This weekend was all about my dad. My mom and I with the help of family and friends were able to pull off the best surprise party on Saturday night.

My dad is a hardcore Patriots fan – so it was only fitting that we did a football themed party. We also asked everyone to wear their favorite teams to the party and I was surprised at how many people showed up wearing their gear.

We made meatballs and my dads famous sauce (he actually made it) with pasta, jalapeño wontons, and had a few platters for people to enjoy. We got dads cake from one of the best bakery around Whites Bakery and an Ice Cream cake (per dads request) from our favorite local shop The Ice Cream Machine.

My dad had the best time and I am so happy we were able to pull this off. This is the second surprise party this year that I’ve planned – I am happy its the last, because while they’re so much fun they’re stressful!

Have a great week everyone!

Weekend Recap

The last weekend of my favorite month. You have gone by too quickly October! This weekend we celebrated Halloween with some friends, did a deep clean and relaxed.

Friday night we did some last minute shopping for Bobby’s costume – and by last minute I mean we had to buy the whole thing. He didn’t decide what he wanted to be until Friday night. After going to savers and wal-mart we headed to my favorite place to eat Mediterranean.

Saturday I went for a walk with a good friend and our pups, picked up Nichole from cheer, and then I napped before we headed out to the annual Mylod halloween party.

English Muffin & a Wet Bandit 😉

Sunday we got up at the crack of dawn to get our grocery shopping done. Not only were we awake but the pats were on and the forecast was calling for some horrible weather so we wanted to beat the rush. Good thing we did, we got to the grocery store at 7:30 and let me tell you it was already busy enough where legit every checkout had a line.

When we got home we vegged all day and did some cleaning around the house. Lola had a blast playing outside while the weather was nice….I wonder what she did…

Wasn’t much on the agenda for this weekend and thankfully it looks like this weekend coming up will be a lazy one too. Have a great week!

Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday Friends!

This weekend was a great start to my October! Now that I am at my new job, I am fortunate to start my weekend on Fridays at 3:30pm – the earliest i’ve ever gotten out of work. I was so excited for the weekend to start, because I knew fun things were happening!

Friday: I went home to play a bit with Lola girl since Bobby is outta town for the weekend. I had plans to go out to eat for dinner with my mom & dad at our favorite Fish & Chips place Ye Olde English – so getting some of Lola’s energy out before I had to leave again was necessary. My gram, cousin and aunt ended up joining us for dinner! I love family time and to make things better Nichole came back to spend the night with me so I wasn’t lonely!

Saturday: THE DAY I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO SINCE I GOT ENGAGED. Some of the most important ladies in my life came with me to find my wedding dress! It was something that I was so excited to do, but also dreading because I have not lost as much weight as I wanted to before the appointment.

As soon as we got to the store I immediately felt special. They had a sign out front that had my name on it, welcoming me to my appointment. How freaking cute is that?!? I had heard such great things about Ve’Lace Bridal and I am so glad I chose to go there first.

Once I got into the store I checked in, and advised what style I liked and showed them a few pictures of what I liked. Well it’s true what they say that you may not actually like the things you see in the magazines. I had such a strong opinion on what I wanted to try on – but thankfully I had the most amazing bridal associate helping me. Big Shoutout to Shadia for helping me feel the most beautiful I have EVER felt.

Shadia was unbelievable in really opening my eyes to different style dresses that I thought I didn’t want. I told her what I liked but was also open to try on anything since this was my first time ever trying on bridal gowns! Little did I know I’d fall completely in love with I think the 10th dress I tried on. I had loved it so much – but there were still some things that I wanted to change, so I tried on other dresses but I couldn’t stop comparing everyone to that one. I spoke with Shadia in the dressing room about my thoughts and she assured me that the few changes I wanted could easily be made. Thats when I stepped back out in that dress and let the ladies know it was the one.

Once she matched the veil to my dress, the tears could not stop! I knew I had found my dream dress and I could not be happier!! I’m so excited to bring my girls back to shop for their bridesmaids dresses there and hope they have the same great experience that I did (I have no doubt that they will!)

After a wonderful appointment we headed to lunch. It was so nice to talk about all things wedding related, further kids names, and just have a fun girls morning and afternoon.

Sunday: It was such a crappy day – legit overcast and rain ALL day. But I went sunflower picking with my mom and finished getting our engagement picture outfits complete. We have them a week from Sunday! I am so excited!

Monday: Happy Columbus Day! We spent the day doing one of our bucket list items. Visiting Clyde’s Cider Mill. We had heard great things about their hard cider & wine so we ventured to Mystic CT with the family. It was a fun day. After hanging around for a bit at the cider mill watching their process of making the cider we headed to Mystic Pizza.

I had the absolute best weekend and hope you did too! Hopefully this week flies by since its only a 4 day work week.

Weekend Shenanigans

How was your weekend dears?! Mine was incredibly busy but full of so much fun! It literally felt like I didn’t stop at all, which i am 100% okay with!

Now onto our weekend!

Friday, we had a low key date night with dinner at one of our favorite local spots.

Saturday morning my friend Brittany came up and we headed to pick Sunflowers! It was the most perfect day because it wasn’t humid as all get out like it has been.

Saturday night was Bobby’s surprise 30th! I don’t know how I pulled it off but somehow I did with the help of some awesome people.

Bobby had the most amazing time and even with a few hiccups it ended up being a great time and that’s all that matters. Good food, good friends and good times!

Happy Monday!

Weekend Recap

We spent the weekend with family celebrating a special little guys 5th birthday and spending time down by the cape cod canal. Enjoy a few favorite photos from the fun filled weekend!

Hope you weekend was just as great as mine!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday Friends!

We started off our monday with Lola girl getting out of the house and having to chase her 😐 thankfully the day got better from there! Sharing with you the fun stuff that happened this weekend.

Friday we had the day off to head into Boston for THE BEST CONCERT EVER. If you we’re born in the 90’s, like country music, and don’t live under a rock you would have enjoyed this show…Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, Nelly & Chris Lane. I have been to a lot of concerts and I can easily say it was the best I have been too.

Saturday morning we slept in since we didn’t get home until 1am and my aunt had Lola so we actually could sleep! I had to babysit too so it was nice to get some rest before handling the two munchkins.

Sunday we had a relaxing day too and my parents came over for dinner and to help Bobby put up the railings on our back deck. After dinner we went to our favorite ice cream spot the Ice Cream Machine with both parents and Lola girl. She even got to try their homemade puppy ice cream! And no surprise she loved it.

It was a complete low key weekend, but it was what we needed after the running around we’ve been doing lately. I hope you all had a great weekend!
