The Blogtember Challenge Day 28: My Year in (5) Photos

I’m not sure how I can narrow this year down to just 5 photos. It has been such a fun year so far and it isn’t even over yet – the best part of the year is just beginning!

ONE. Getting Lola has by far been the highlight of my our year. She is growing into the best dog ever, and it is so fun to see how her little personality is. She is by far the smartest dog I’ve ever been around and the biggest diva. I love her with all my heart ❤ This picture if from the day we picked her up!

TWO. Bucket List Item checked off. The Dixie Chicks were a band that I listened to back in the day, before I was allowed to attend concerts, and I thought I would never get the chance to see them live. Thankfully they toured this year and I got to see them because they are one hell of a group. TBH I’m jamming to them right now as I write this.

THREE. The outside home reno, was such an accomplishment for Bobby & I. This was by far the biggest item (besides needing the driveway done) on our list of things we needed done to our home. I can’t wait to see what else we do to the place in the years to come.

FOUR. Our trip to Maine. This was a great vacation and I love making memories with my little family. I look forward to the day when we are married and have babies that are joining us on the adventures.

FIVE. 4 years with this handsome man. I can easily say that deciding to go on that first date with Bobby was the best decision I have EVER made. He really is the most selfless man with the biggest heart and I am so happy to call him mine. I say this on almost all my post about him, but I can’t wait to be his wife someday!

This year has been pretty amazing so far, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of it holds!

The Blogtember Challenge Day 22: All Things Fall

Yippie!!! Today is one of my favorite days, it’s FALL! I posted about my Fall Favorites on day fifteen of the challenge so today I am sharing with you a wish list! Enjoy!

Loft Skinny Jeans – These are one of my must haves for this season they are the perfect color for fall. And I would rock these babies all year round since Maroon is one of my favorite colors.

Plaid Scarf – This is just the cutest thing ever! I love the colors and it can really match any fall outfit.

Fall Pillow Case – You can never have too many accent pillows.

Wool Skirt – I saw this and immediately thought it would look awesome with the shirt I want to wear for Thanksgiving. Match it with a pair of booties and i’ll have the cutest outfit!

Pumpkin Spice Mug – NEED this in my life.

Booties – The picture talks for itself, these are the cutest!

What are some of your Fall Favorites?!

The Blogtember Challenge Day Thirteen: Life Swap

This prompt was a little difficult, but while thinking about who I would like to switch lives with I started to think about when I could post my before and after pictures of our recent upgrade to the outside of our home. I knew right then what lady I would love trade lives with for just one day….Joanna Gaines.

Everything about her is just simply #goals, from her awesome relationship with her husband, her awesome design skills (shiplap & pergola’s just to name two), how she is family oriented, her looks…ugh I could go on forever.

So onto our own fixer upper…I mentioned a few weeks ago that we had just signed our contract to get our home sided (finally!) and I am happy to say it is complete!

We still have a few things to do until its 100% complete such as paint the foundation, paint the bulkhead, and put a new railing on the front steps, but I am SO happy with how it turned out. It finally looks as good outside as it does inside.

Until Next Time,

The Blogtember Challenge Day Three: Summer Favorites

This summer has by far been one of the best summers with so many great memories to look back on, so here are some of my favorites!

Book: Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline.

Recipe: Grilled Honey BBQ Bacon Chicken Kabobs

TV Show: Big Brother, this is my guilty please EVERY summer.

Song: Song for Another Time by Old Dominion, seeing them live at country fest for the second year and hearing this song live was amazing!

Memory: My two favorite memories from this summer were very easy to pinpoint. First would be out trip to Bar Harbor, best most relaxing vacation we have been on since we have started dating! And coming in at a close second is Country Fest, which is always a summer favorite in my book.

Do you have any summer favorites that will be sure to stay with you for a while?

The Blogtember Challenge Day Two: September Goals

I have never been one to post my monthly goals on my blog, it’s not that I don’t have any but the fact that if I share them with you guys and don’t actually complete them then I would be slightly embarrassed. Crazy right?

Well the second day of the blogtember challenge is now going to hold me accountable for my goals for September.

  1. Start and stay focused on the BBG workout routine.
  2. Start the Advocare 24 day challenge.
  3. participate daily in the blogtember challenge.
  4. read 3 books off of my list for the #popsugarreadingchallange

That’s all I have for today guys, what goals are going to be keeping you busy this month?!

Until Next Time,

The Blogtember Challenge Day One: Introduce Yourself

Hey Friends! Somehow you were lucky enough to find my little blog and today I am taking part in my first ever Blogtember Challenge! By the end of September, you may be tired of seeing me post on the reg., but I am up to the challenge of posting every day.

My name is Rebecca Bourgeault, I am new to this whole blogging thing as at the moment I only do it occasionally to remember some important events in my life, along with sharing some things I love. I am twenty-six years old, and was born and raised in New England – the best place to get to experience all four seasons 😉 I have one sister, who at the age of six passed away from Cerebral Palsy.

I graduated from Johnson & Wales University with both my Bachelors & Master’s Degree and have been working in the Marketing field ever since, I am currently working towards getting my certifications to teach in Massachusetts as well. I met my boyfriend at a party back in 2012, which is nothing special but I can remember it like it was yesterday!

Bobby my other half is your typical outdoorsy guy. Who loves to fish, do yardwork, and play with our 6-month old border collie Lola. We bought our first home, a fixer upper in 2014 and have been working to make it ours ever since. It has definitely come a long way since 2014.

I started blogging after being a blog reader for years as an outlet for DIY, travel, and my life as I hope to influence other readers just as some amazing blogs have influenced me. I am thankful for you all for reading this little page and hopefully you come back soon!
