Happy Friday Friends! Sharing some of my favorites with ya from this week 🙂

  1. I have been looking for the perfect dress for a few showers I have coming up next month. I bought this beauty after seeing it on the beautiful Erin over at Living In Yellow. Its sold out at the moment, so I am SO glad I snagged one up before that happened.
  2.  I am about half way through One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid and guys, it is so freaking good. Go get yourself a copy if you haven’t read it yet – unless you don’t like love stories then don’t. 
  3. I have been working my rear off to eat better and workout every night. so far so good, mostly because of pinterest helping me with some healthy meals. These SPINACH AND SAUSAGE LASAGNA ROLL UPS were so good! We ended up using whole wheat lasagna noodles & ground turkey.

Raise your hand if you’re ready for the weekend! It has felt like the longest week ever! I am ready for a relaxing weekend. Its supposed to rain here tomorrow and Sunday but the weather is supposed to be so spring like I wish it wasn’t going to rain so I could be outside!

  1. Best part of my week, by far was buying our Florida Georgia Line / Backstreet Boys / Chris Lane / Nelly tickets! Please can it be July 7th like right now!
  2. On a search for the perfect wedding dress for Bobby’s cousins wedding in July. Its a formal wedding. I think I have it narrowed down to these options: one | two | three please let me know which one you think I should go with!
  3. Although I’m not engaged YET…I love watch wedding videos. I’m in love with these two companies one & two.

Wearing:  weather here in New England as always this time of year is bipolar. Lately I’ve been wearing a lot of skinny jeans and sweatshirts.

Watching:  Once Upon a Time is back so I have been enjoying that on Sunday nights. I am also loving Time After Time – the new show on ABC based on  the novel and movie of the same name which follows the adventures of famed science fiction writer H.G. Wells.

Listening to:  anything Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, Chris Lane & Nelly. Tickets go on sale this week and I am secretly wishing the months away until July.

Reading:  The Girl in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. This book has me hooked and I’m only half way through. I’m planning to finish it tonight though because I seriously cant wait another day to find out wtf is going on! I actually think I’ll be able to finish three books at the rate I’m going this month. Next on my list to read is One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Eating:  I joined an accountability group and this has helped me tremendously with eating better. I have been eating so good! This recipe for baked tacos is on the menu for this week. I have been having protein shakes for breakfast every morning.

Enjoying:  The fact that I have made it through one whole week of 22 Minute Hard Corps. 1 week down…7 more to go.

Loving:  still loving Beauty and the Beast. I saw it on Friday and it was so good. I was worried it wouldn’t be anything like the animated version, but they did such a great job of staying true to the original but also added a few new songs as well as gave us a little more backstory into the lives of Belle and the Beast.

Wishing:  that I could purchase a DSLR camera. We are slowly saving up some money for one, since it is top on my list of wants before the summer is here.

Looking forward to:  All of the exciting activities that will be happening next month! I have a Bridal Shower & a Baby Shower and I just cant wait to shower two of my favorite gals!  Oh and getting my hair done, this time next month i’ll have beautiful hair!

Missing:  We put off our trip on hold for Philly. We had to book a hotel up in NH for the July wedding we have and with us trying to save some money our trip had to be postponed for the time being.

Weekly Meal Plan 3/13

Today I thought I’d share my meal plan for the week. I am such a planner and organizer that part of my day on Saturday is sitting down and planning our meals for the week and making a list of everything we need at the store before we go out to run our errands on Sunday.

Monday: Swedish Meatballs (not going to lie theses are frozen from IKEA, but hey they are so freaking good!)

Tuesday: Four Cheese Garlic Spaghetti Squash

Wednesday: Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sweet Potatoes

Thursday: Cheeseburgers with Veggie Tots

Friday: Eat Out

Saturday: Turkey Meatballs with Zucchini Noodles

Yesterday I also started subscribing to Beachbody All Access – thanks to my girl Lauren who I met through blogging! I decided I need to get my ass in gear and commit to 30 minutes a day working out and to really think about what food is going into my body. For right now i’m just doing the workout and I did not get Shakeology. Do any of my readers do Shakeology? If so can you tell me how you like it compared to other protein drinks? Right now I am loving Protizyme – and with how fussy I am with protein drinks I didn’t want to change it up just yet.

We are home today thanks to Winter Storm Stella. Work has been so stressful the past week that I really won’t mind.

How do you plan you meals? Do you utilize the internet to find new dishes to try? And if you have any favorite recipes, send them my way! 

 

My Spring Bucket List

Go Hiking
Usually, Bobby and I just go on walks at the local state parks or bike paths. But this year with Lola I really want to go on better adventures on some of the trails we have here in Massachusetts. This weekend some girlfriends and I are off to do some local trails with the pups.

Start my vegetable garden
Since we bought the house I have wanted to grow our own vegetable garden – but other to-do’s took precedence. This year its at the top of my list! We have a lot of animals that come around in the spring/summer so I have been pinning away different ideas to keep them away from the veggies!  What I mostly want to grow are tomatoes, peppers, zucchini & squash!

Make spring wreath
I LOVE tulips. There are so many beautiful DIY wreaths on the internet and I found a few that would want to make. I think I have narrowed it down to the one I am going to attempt to make. Once I have it done I will be posting a DIY post 🙂

Have a large spring cleaning
We just recently re-did our bedroom and we cleaned the entire room getting rid of unwanted clothing and just decluttering in general. I need to go on a huge declutter of the entire house because in all honesty I am a hoarder, but cleaning the bedroom made me feel so good!

Have a bonfire
Undoing the fire pit and having our first fire of the year is always fun! I want to have our friends over for a fun game night and sit by the fire with beer and sangria.

Get a pedicure
During the winter months I do my own nails since they are always in boots and socks. Now that it’s time to break out the sandals and flip-flops it’s time to get my toes done!

Build our new deck
When we sided the house last year we had to take apart our deck. Now is the perfect time to re-do it with the layout that we want. Ideally we want a larger deck and I would love a pergola that I can string some lights on. I’m looking forward to nights spent outside this year.

Have a fun trip
We have our trip to philly planned in a little less than a month. So excited to eat some philly cheesesteaks and take in some sights! I will have blog posts planned to recap the trip!

That what I have planned for us for the spring. Its going to be a busy but fun one! What do you all have planned for this spring?!

Spring Wish List

Spring is the second best season here in New England – I just love when everything blooms and comes back to life. It also is the season I bring the color back into my wardrobe! In the colder months I tend to stay wearing neutrals. I put together a little wish list for the Spring, although the weather forecasts is calling for a bit of snow this weekend.

March Goals

In all honesty I had such a fun post planned for a weekend recap for Monday, and then I got sick – it was not a pretty weekend. I ended up going to the ER because I was so dehydrated and literally couldn’t move. No one could tell me what it was though. Because I had been babysitting sick kiddos the night before and had sushi that night they determined it could be a viral infection, a bacterial infection or food poisoning. But I am happy to report that I am feeling MUCH better!

Now that we are past the two worst months of the year, spring is right around the corner and I am so excited! A few of my February Goals are remaining on the goals list because I just didn’t get through everything I wanted.

STUDY for MTEL

For March I am taking it a little bit easy. We are getting into the nicer weather and I know we are going to be outside more often now and I don’t want to stretch myself too thin! We went to ikea and got all of our new furniture for the bedroom and we are slowly putting it together. Let me tell you assembling IKEA stuff is NO JOKE. Here’s what I plan to do for this month!
