Friday Fav’s

Happy Friday! I can’t believe the first month of the year has already come and gone. Its crazy how much time flies. Here’s what I’m currently loving.

  1. DATELINE: Since Bobby and I have finished To Make a Murder we’ve been having withdrawals….and tonight there is a 1-hour special on CBS at 10pm! yessssss!
  2. I don’t know if anyone likes Zucchini as much as I do. I could seriously eat it withblueberry every meal, but since I can’t do that, I am definitely going to try this Cream of Zucchini Soup that came up on my Facebook Newsfeed. It looks amazing.
  3. Currently reading: The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe and so far this little love story is quite the good read. But I’m a sucker for the love stories.

Until Next Time,

Winter Storm Jonas?

Is there anything better than waking up to a blanket of white snow? I don’t think so, especially when its the weekend and the Patriots are on so the only thing to do is eat great food and watch football.  We didn’t get as much as they thought in my neck of the woods, we have a little over 5 inches on the ground (i’m guessing). We started the day with Bobby heading out to shovel and I made Raspberry Sweet Rolls for breakfast, and not much else will go on but hopefully watch our Pats kick some Bronco butt.

My Friday Fav’s

Happy Friday! For me this week just dragggged on, so I’m wicked happy it’s the weekend. Here’s what I’m loving this week!

  1. I just recently started getting into wanted to do my make-up everyday. I don’t like to look like I have a lot of make up on and I love Kate at The Small Things Blog. Her tutorials for hair and make-up are always easy to follow and everything looks so natural. I follow her Simple Make-Up Routine to get my day started.
  2. Making a Murderer – I don’t know about any of you, but me and Bobby are hooked. We watched this in one week! This documentary on Netflix has people all over the country talking about whether or not Steven Avery is guilty. In my opinion the law enforcement individuals of Manitowoc County are a bunch of MORONS, but we are only seeing what the documentary wants us to see. I think from what is given Steven Avery deserves a trial outside of the county, because clearly many of the individuals there who took part in the trial many years ago are biased. unnamed
  3. I LOVE this dress – I am already thinking of the spring, and wearing colorful dresses again. I order this lovely piece from shop hopes and I can’t wait to be able to wear it. BEST part is that it was on sale – $11.50 with free shipping! What a steal!

Until Next Time,

Rebecca

Here comes the SNOW

Winter Storm Jonas is heading our way, and everyone and their mother is trying to prepare for a snow storm over the weekend. Ugh. I usually do my shopping on the weekends and now I am going to have to do it this week to avoid the crazies out there buying all their milk and bread because were “supposed” to get a major amount of snow.  HELLO PEOPLE we do live in New England we should be used to this weather. Because it looks like we will be in the house staying warm, I have been searching pinterest for a great cinnamon roll recipe and I think I found the ones I am going to make, and they are not made with cinnamon.

Snowfall Potential

Check out this recipe for Raspberry Sweet Rolls and I’ll be sure to let you know how they taste this weekend 🙂

Until Next Time,

Friday Fav’s

It is finally beginning to feel like winter here in Massachusetts  now that snow is on the ground and the temperatures are below 40 degrees. I am excited for this weekend, Bobby and I are taking a trip to Ikea! We are working on our entry way and are in desperate need of storage for our shoes (well mostly mine). Some of the things I’m loving this week are:

  1. I really like to switch up the perfume I wear, and recently I have been wearing Philosophy’s Fresh Cream. It is the sweetest scent I have wore in a long time and I love that I smell like a really delicious treat.
  2.  The Pretty Little Liars Winter Premier was this week. I am a TV junkie and this is in the top 5 of my favorite TV shows. This 5 years forward thing has me really excited for the rest of the season!

That’s all I got for this week and I’m a day late! Next week I’ll have some goodies for you all.

Until Next Time,

Rebecca

Travel Goals 2016

With every New Year comes new goals. Whether it be fitness, personal, or travel, and while I have made some of each, the ones I want to share with you are mine and Bobby’s travel goals for this year. I’m sure we wont get to all of them, but one can hope!

Bar Harbor:

Both Bobby and myself love the outdoors, and this year we want to take the time to go up to Maine and camp. I have heard amazing things from friends and family about Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, so our plan is to take a tip there this year.

Seattle/Oregon:

With my Aunt moving back this year, we want to take one last trip to the PNW. I really love it up there but I highly doubt after my Aunt moves home that we will take any other trips back there. So this is one of our top trips we want to take.

Hawaii:

Dream Vacation. Bobby and I have been together for four years this August – so we want to try to take a nice trip around our anniversary.

Atlanta:

Bobby is a die hard falcons fan….so a trip to see them play would be important to him. They rarely come to New England so we try to travel to see them once a year.  A few years ago we went to see them play in Baltimore.

Until Next Time,

Rebecca

First of my Friday Favorites

I started this blog so I can remember a lot of things that I enjoy in my life and because I enjoy reading other lifestyle blogs so much! One of the trends that I really enjoy, and even find myself finding new recipes and products are from other bloggers favorites posts. So here is my first Friday Favorites!

  1. This week was a week of new recipes to try and my favorite from this week was this amazing Korean Beef. It will definitely be made again soon in our house.
  2. We are in the process of re-doing our “master” bedroom, and I purchased the cutest Duvet and Pillow Shams from West Elm. I bought the Organic Paint Palette Duvet Cover + Shams. This was my first time buying from West Elm and after browsing their website, I will most likely be purchasing a few more items soon!
  3. I’m really digging the new color Essie Nail polish that I bought. It’s called Chinchilly and can be found on Amazon. This neutral gray color really looks nice.

That’s all for today! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Until Next Time,

Rebecca
